Expansions on new laptop

★★★ Newbie

My laptop recently broke and it had all my expansions on it. I brought the expansions a long time ago and they have gone missing (due to moving house ect). Is there anyway to get my expansions to work on my new laptop without the disc. Thanks in advance.

Re: Expansions on new laptop

@NOTTHISPERSON69  If you ever registered your game either in Origin or on the old Sims 3 site ( www.thesims3.com or store.thesims3.com ), your content will already be in the Origin game library of the account you used back then.  (The Sims 3 site and Origin share information.)  So all you'd need to do would be to login to Origin with the same email address you used at the time.  You can even enter any email you had back then into the Origin login window and click "Forgot your password?"; a password recovery email will be sent to any address associated with an EA/Origin account.  Be sure to check the spam folder too.

If you never registered your product keys, you could still do so now, provided you could find those keys.  If your old laptop still powers on, or you have a way to recover data, you can find the keys in the computer's registry (Windows), or in the hidden library files (macOS).

Windows:  https://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2013/09/how-to-find-your-serial-number.html

macOS:  https://bluebellflora.com/finding-your-serial-key-using-terminal/

Otherwise, without the keys, or the discs, there's no way to prove ownership of the game, and so unfortunately no way to get it onto your account.
