Expansions not showing up in menu or game ( i have ticked them in the launcher)

so, i just felt like playing some sims 3 again so i logged into origin and installed the base game + seasons expansion pack. when i went into the game i couldn't see any of the seasons additions so i went back to the launcher to check and it isn't there. it shows up as installed on origin. i have tried reinstalling origin and repairing and updating the game. i can even click 'play' on seasons from the origin download manager but it just takes me to the launcher with no expansion there.

@Zanziz900  Try clearing Origin's cache and uninstalling "the hard way," if you haven't already.  A simple uninstall won't remove cache and other temp files.

If those steps don't help, you'll need to contact EA customer support and ask about the status of Seasons: not whether it's still in your account, but whether it's been blocked or deactivated or similar.  This is exactly what happens when a player buys what turns out to be a bad product key from a third-party seller—the pack might work for a while, but then EA does an accounting, catches the bad codes in the system, and blocks the packs tied to those codes.  The only way to find out if this happened to you is to contact support.
