I hate posting on forums for issues as it makes me feel dumb even though its completely fine. This is my first time installing on this very low end laptop. Ive tried:
Reinstalling
Repairing
And not using my expansions.
Out of ideas any help is good help!

I'm getting the same error with a similar situation. Fresh computer no mods. I tried everything in the links that you suggested to try. I'm really at a loss as to what to do next.

Hi, I am on a PC, ROG Strix GL 10DH, running an AMD Ryzen 7 with 8g of memory and a Nvidia Gforce GTX 1650 GPU. There is nothing in my computer that should be causing an issue, I have added the whole sims folder to the exceptions in my virus software and firewall programs. It is a clean install from Origin, no mods, just the game and expansions purchased from Origin. I have tried all the renaming and moving and such, and I keep getting the error. Any ideas?
Thanks.

@Kbeahr Is your computer a pc or mac? Check mods folder for hidden files.
