Is there a way to report it to the developers?

@Mintyshakeu I've forwarded this already but you can try support or the official twitter.

The more reports they get, the better. Do link them this thread saying you already posted in the forums.

@Ezriel After racking my brains off for 2 days, this is the only solution that helped me solve this odd error. Kept on uninstalling and installing it. Re-read this thread and saw this. And thought why keep keep on reinstalling the VC++? why not try repairing it? Started with the 2013 and tested it out, and it worked! If not for this post, I wouldn't have tried repairing it. Thanks!

Thanks to you and this thread i have found a solution that worked for me. I installed Sims4 on 3 PC where it worked and I did the same on another PC and it failed with the exact error code that is mentioned here. I tried all the things mentioned in the thread with no luck until i repaired the vc++2013. I wanted to deinstall it and in the windows menu add or delete programms i clicked on uninstall and then in the vc++ window i clicked on repair. I did this with all 4 applications that had vc++ 2013 in the name (or similar). And even without restarting the PC it just worked. So i think repairing the 2013 vc++ is better then reinstalling which did abolutely nothing for me. I hope this info helps and thanks again.
Best Regards

Sims 4 - Game Startup Initialization Error

★★★ Newbie

Greetings Simmers!

I am an avid player and I've recently came across a game startup error that I have not been able to self diagnose.

At startup, my game immediately crashes with an "Unable to start: Initialization… [135dec40:3fbbecd0:00000064:00000000]" error. I have tried multiple troubleshooting methods with no success.

Here is what I have done so far:

  • Ran as Admin
  • Ran in Compatibility Mode
  • Repaired game (3 times) through Origin
  • Verified Game files through Origin
  • Un/Re-Installed Origin
  • Deleted Temp Files
  • Cleaned / Fixed Windows Registry
  • Un/Re-Installed Full Game
  • Un/Re-Installed Graphics Drivers
  • Un/Re-Installed Java / Microsoft C++
  • Shed a tear for my old save files I forgot to backup (rip)

If anyone can shed some light / advice for me, I would greatly appreciate it!

I am running on PC w/ Win10 Home

Many Thanks! - Mvard
