Error code 12

The game won't let me save my file after a short time of playing! I have emptied my saves folder, and the previously saved games in edit town and I have deleted all my screen shots, videos and saved Sims, I have renamed it and followed advice from hundreds of different people and the error code still appears, what else can I do to stop it so I can save my games?

Do you have a 32 bit Operating system or less then 4 GB RAM ? If so, then this is the reason for error 12. Not much you can do about it but upgrade or only play small worlds and start a new game often.
