Downloading a game

When I tell a game to download, it asks for more information which I have absolutely no idea what to answer. I've tried typing in Origin, which didn't work and I tried typing in Sims3, which didn't work. I tried to download Java, which didn't work, it said I had a corrupted file, I don't know if Java would have been the answer, but I'm very frustrated with how difficult it is to order a game through Origin or Sims. I have Windows 7, and plenty of memory, so that shouldn't be the problem.

HELP!!!!

What kind of information ? What the exact error message you're getting ?

Where did it say you had a corrupted file ? On installing Java or the game ? Did you try removing Java from your system and installing it fresh ?
