Downloaded Seasons - Everything gone?

I bought a extension pack (Seasons). After adding it to Origin I discovered everything is gone. Is there any way to get the game progress back? Will this happen every time I buy a extension pack?

Sounds like you started a new game instead of Continue or Load game.

When I opened the game it gave me a whole new tour... There was also nothing to load.

It that case the game decided to use another folder for its user files this can happen especially if you have Onedrive enabled. Here is an easy way to find out which folder your game is using: https://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder
