Download issue

I just uninstalled my game so I could reinstall it cos the plumbob just kept spinning and the game never started..............I pressed the download button and it came up with a file location and preparing to download screen but dont know if its downloading

@ptrsknnr122  First there is a way to return this game to factory with out unistalling. Most of the time the issue is with bad user data and this can be checked without uninstalling. This game has a complex file structure and reinstalling usually does not correct a user data issue. If you were trying to download the game from Origin like you should, it should show downloading in the lower left of Origin. When you right click on the Sims 4 icon in Origin did was the top option install?
