Detective Career possible issue

So I've been playing the Sims 4 recently and everything is going smooth, except one issue. My sim is a detective and when he has to travel to a crime scene, I can't join him for some reason. The game tells me where he's located at but I can't join the same lot playing as him. I'm not sure if this is a glitch or if I'm missing something.

@DartsArts Try repairing the game though Origin (right click on the game, make sure the game is closed)

If that doesn't help, are you using mods/cc in your game ? Does it work without them ?
