Dell G5 15 won't play sound

Hi guys,

I've just bought a Dell G5 15 laptop and on running the Sims 4 (using Origin), it won't play sound properly? Whether in gameplay or on the Home loading screen, the music etc comes through as a sort of grating noise. I don't have this problem with any other functions. The game is also running slower than on my previous laptop which was not designed for gaming. I have no mods or CC downloaded.

Any advice would really help.

@Kitkatk8xx  Please try a using couple different types of audio devices, e.g. laptop speakers, headphones connected via jack, Bluetooth headset, etc.  The point is to see whether the issus is the device or its connection, or perhaps something internal to your computer.
