I am very used to downloading a bunch of custom content with the sims3pack intaller and never had an issue before. Lately, when i use the sims 3 installer everything works well BUT the installer goes into fullscreen mode and fills my whole desktop, so that i cannot use any other apps on my computer while it is running.

@ROXA2009  Which part of the installer goes fullscreen: the launcher, the loading window, or the window that lists whether your Sims3Packs install successfully or not?  Does it help to click alt-enter when in fullscreen?  (If you have a full-size keyboard, alt-return might not work; there should be a separate Enter key.)  That's the shortcut to switch to windowed mode in Windows.
