I updated my windows 10 yesterday (essential update that didn’t give me the choice to opt out). Sims 3 kept crashing, every 20 minutes or so and the usual solutions I have tried didn’t fix it. I moved the sims to a new lot and now it crashes and goes back to windows whenever I try to save it!
I gave up and tried to install sims4 instead...only to find that it keeps telling me to ‘update my operating system’ for origin, which I can’t get past.
has anyone else found that the latest windows 10 update has done this?

@PeggyShell For the Sims 3 issue, I'd be happy to help troubleshoot, but I need a bit more information. Please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

For the Sims 4 problem, how are you trying to download Origin? The most common cause of that particular error is installing Origin from a disc (like maybe a Sims 4 disc). The version of Origin on those discs is so outdated it can't even properly update itself, so it throws a sort of unhelpful error about updating your OS. The solution is to download a fresh copy of Origin directly from the Origin website.
