- At what point does your game crash ? Any regularities ?
- How long can you usually play ?
- Which EP/SPs do you have installed ?

Hey insanida's mom,
thanks for posting the DxDiag.
The main issue is that the graphic chip your daugther has is below EA's minimum requirements. It has only 64 MB of dedicated memory. The Sims 3 requires you to have 128 MB (and that's still to low in my experience).
I would suggest to lower all settings in the graphic options (ingame) to the minimum, turn off mirror reflections and lower the resolutions as well. That might help.
The factory reset removes all savegames, all custom content and other users files but since you're only renaming the folder (and preferebly also back it up), it's not lost forever. It's a trouble shooting measure to see if something has messed up the user files. You first try on a new game without anything added and see if you have the same issue. If you don't, you can start adding stuff back, folder by folder (instructions are given in the link).
If you do still have the same error, it's most likely either a game bug (which it isn't in most crashing issues) or the issue is your computer. In your case, I'd say it's your computer, so try lowering settings first. We can go from there.
