Connecting to Server Error

I cant open or play The Sims 4 CAS Demo because I cannot connect the server. I get this message:

We are unable to connect to EA Servers to activate The Sims 4 Create A Sim Demo on this computer using your account.

Please try again later.

Are the servers down or..?
