City Living: Political Career vanished

My sim got into the political career, everything was working fine; today he got promoted to level 2, yay. But! All of a sudden, his political interactions are gone! But he still has his job, he just can't do anything political, the interactions don't turn up. So I try to have him retake the job... but when the list of available careers turn up, the politics career is missing. The critic career is there, everything is there but the political career. I'm really confused.

Try right-clicking on the game in Origin and hit repair game
