Origin Download Button Not Working

Hi, I have recently bought a new Mac computer and have re-installed my Sims 4 base game. However, I am not able to download any of the expansion packs. I keep clicking on the 'Download' button and nothing is happening. 

I have tried re-installing Origin and my sims 4 base game a number of time but no luck. 

Can anybody offer some suggestions of what I can do next?

FINALLY after disabling technical preview and restarting, an update actually popped up. Now all of my packs are finally downloading! ...went crazy for the Black Friday sale and spent $45 on extra content so... I was really about to lose my mind!!!!

After you purchased it did it definitely download and finish installing?

In Origin does it say anything about new pack available?

I have the same problem. Not a new installation, but bought a stuff pack, and tapping the Download button does nothing. I ran the reset origin tool, I deleted my game and reinstalled The Sims 4 again (bad move, now *all* my expansions etc won't download!) Origin, please help! Latest update on Big Sur with MBP 16"

Sooo I was having the same problems then it worked

this is what I did 

I kept going to applications setting then going to client update. I turned off automatic games update and automatically update origin off. then signed out and quit origin the signed back in and re did it. I did this about 5 times. Then I went there again and only turned off automatically update Origin and participate in origin technical . So only automatic games update was on

then I quit origin then reopened it.

then that update origin screen pops up.

you click update origin. it takes a second then re log in too it and then then every pack you have will start to download.

you have to make sure origin is updated not the game.

I know what I wrote is kinda choppy but I hope this helps!
