Cant get a serial code after purchasing on steam

Hey! I have purchased my sims 3 game on Steam, I was wondering how to find the serial code? Thanks!

I have not purchased through steam in a while, but they used to include the product activation code in your purchased game confirmation email.

Or you used to be able to right click on the game in your steam game library and and there should be a option to "view cd key"
