Can't save sims to my gallery

Since the new patch, my game does two things.

1) It replaces the "detailed view" of a sim in the gallery with a different sim, often the sim mine was based on: imgur.com/EK8mJMv

2) It doesn't save my sims to my gallery, they are only displayed in the Home view and occasionally the game loses them as if they were deleted.

The second bug is game breaking. I was updating the appearence of all my playable sims, so right now I can't play the game at all.

Things I tried:

a) Saving sims in different ways and configurations
b) Removing the mods
c) Repairing the game
d) Reinstalling the game

e) Reinstalling the game without the holiday pack
f) Following the steps from the Answer HQ
g) Trying to root out possible corrupt CC

None of these worked.

Please help?

Are you using custom content ? Did you check cc in the advance filter ?

Did you try if deleting the localthumbnailcache.package does anything ?

 As a former Sims 2 player, removing the cache was the first thing I did!

I'm not sure how it affected the error I'm mentioning, because when I loaded the game it suddenly "lost" my sims and couldn't load them at all - so I put it back in.

This was yesterday though, I'll try removing it again now.

Edit: No effect this time.

I'm glad to know this issue is more common though.

Are you using custom content ? Did you check cc in the advance filter ?

I... believe so? I mean, custom content displays normally and I use it a lot on my sims. The screenshot I used was after I intentionally removed the CC from my sims to see whether they'd save normally if I used less / none.

But I can check, although I'm not sure where exactly.

Edit: I just saw x_anjuta_x's new post and you're right, I didn't have that filtering enabled. Thank your for your help! (Maybe, just as a small suggestion, to prevent days of panic from other simmers, could you please make an in-game announcement?)

This only leaves the other issue, from the screenshot. The main one is solved though :D

Yes, it's the same issue!
