Can't repair the sims 4 game

Dear simmers,

I have a problem with Origin/ the sims 4. If I try to repair the sims 4 in Origin, Origin gets stuck. I can't close it unless I use task management to do a forced stop. I wondered wether this problem might be an addition to the November patch crashing problem. Please let me know if you have the same problem and perhaps have an solution to this.

Origin currently has a tendency to use lots of CPU when repairing which may account for what you're seeing. Is yours really high too ?

Thank you for your answer. The CPU is very high when repairing the game indeed. As to the cache, I will try if this works!
