Can't open sims 4?

The sims 4 play button is greyed out on my origin. I also cannot update the game. Excited when i got it for christmas, but have only played twice since then. I have reinstalled origin plenty of times but the issue is a recurring one. What can i do?

i had that problem too, pretty much origin wasnt able to fully download and install the sims 4 so you just need to do is open it up from the desktop link so its not being run by origin

I did the whole unhide hidden folders thing but I still can't find any of those files? I'm really confused...
