Can't find the mailbox in the new Sims 4

I have a family in a home that was already made in the new Sims 4. I'm in the first neighborhood and I cannot find the mailbox at the home. I got a notification that bills needed to be paid but I didn't have to go to the mailbox to do it. Now I have a sim that cannot get a promotion until I publish 2 of her books which has to go in the mailbox. HELP!

I just bought a new mailbox when I could not find mine. They are in build mode under misc appliances

I did the same thing i had to pay my bills i found it under misc like nick said it works
