Can't download my purchases due to launcher refusing to accept log in.

I have purchased several items with my Sims points recently but can not download them as the game launcher continually asks me to login and when I do, it just pops back up. I really wants these items but can not download or install them. Please help me figure out how to - Fix- this issue without having to uninstall and reinstall the game as I would lose so many downloads. HELP!!!!!

@Aithwynn Is your computer a pc or mac? If your computer is a pc try clearing the browsing history in IE (Internet Explorer). The game uses IE so clearing the browsing history in the browser you use (FireFox, etc) will not work. Open IE, Click the cog in the upper right next to the star, click internet options, click browsing history/ delete, click delete, click apply, click ok. If the EA server was restarted the stored cookie in your IE browser becomes invalid. The cookie needs to be deleted or you can wait until it expires.
