For the past 24 hours I have been unable to log into my Sims 3 account using both the game's launcher and inside the game. I keep getting the message that it is invalid. However I can successfully log into my account on the Sims 3 website. So it isn't a matter of forgetting and/or even typing incorrectly.
Also when the launcher does load, the usual welcome screen is missing. At one point it is a lovely blank blue. Then today I get an error message, see attached picture. I have deleted my browsing history and cookies from IE and MS Edge. So it is not a matter of deleting the cookies.
