Can't Buy SimPoints on Store.TheSims3.com?

@EA_Cade I still can't download simpoints. It just re-direkt me to this page, and when I search after simpoints in the EA-app there is no results.

Please help!!

Try searching for currency inside the EA app. I just pulled up SimPoints by searching Currency and then selecting View All.

Hi, I was looking to buy more Sims points for the Sims 3. Every time I try to buy more Sims points it takes me to the EA website but has no option to purchase sims points. Has this been discontinued? If so the stuff that can be bought with Sims points should be free. Thank you.

@Rubyfireheart  I've merged your post with the master thread for this issue.  You'll need to buy the points from the EA App, or Origin if you have a Mac.  Within the EA App, you can search for "Sims 3 currency," or click Sims 3, then DLC, and find "currency" at the top.  This is the SimPoints option.

Try searching "Sims 3 Currency" instead of "Simpoints"

@arianoleonr  Are you trying to buy SimPoints through the EA App?  If not, please try that: open your game library, click Sims 3, then DLC, and find "Sims 3 Currency" on the list.

If you're trying that and you get an error, please post a screenshot.

@336609123W81  I've merged your post with the master thread for this issue.  Please try buying SimPoints through the EA App.  Open your game library, click Sims 3, select DLC, and "Sims 3 Currency," which is SimPoints, should be the first entry.

You don't need to have installed the game through the EA App.  The points will automatically appear in your Store account no matter what kind of install you have.

Also, I do want to mention that the Renaissance Fair is occasionally on sale for as few as 627 points.  You can find more information about sales here:
