Can't Buy SimPoints on Store.TheSims3.com?

So sorry for the delay. We had an issue preventing purchases yesterday that should now be resolved, are you still seeing this now?

For me, there is no add-on for the sims 3 saying "sims3 currency" though

@OMGStap  What's the first entry when you click Add-ons?  Please take a screenshot without scrolling down at all.

Hi Everyone,

Right now The Sims 3 store's "Buy SimPoints" button is directing you to the EA website. If you hard time figuring out where to buy Simpoints instead like I did, I want to be of some help.

You'll have to go to the EA app on PC. From there you'll search "Sims 3 Currency" and that's where you can buy Simpoints.

Hey! Just wanted to say thank you soooooooooooo much!

I spent all of yesterday mourning the sims3 after I had tried so many different ways to buy simpoints, and nothing had worked. (I was in mourning cause I thought I had permanantly screwed up my game because of how many times I had uninstalled and reinstalled different versions of origin and the EA app trying to get something to work. At one point I didn't have either EA app or Origin installed so my brain catastrophized. I somehow thought I had broken my save files. XD I know it makes no sense, but my computer know-how is extremely limited given how much time I spend on it.)

Anyway, point was: Thank you so much; after all that searching for articles on various sites, unistallations, etc, who knew it was as simple as just typing 'currency' into the EA App search bar and then clicking 'show all 19 results'! Clearly you did lol. Thanks again, and I hope you have a great day, I know you made mine a hell of a lot brighter!

If you need any ideas on obscure and needlessly complicated ways to kill sims, or anything else -not too I.T. related,- let me know! :3

@OMGStap If you search 'currency' in the EA app search bar then click on 'show 19 results' sims3 simpoints will come up at the bottom of the list.

@EA_Cade this link did not work for me, simply asked if I was looking for Orgin Mac

@Chelleybean9  If you have a Mac, you can still buy SimPoints through Origin.  Just search "simpoints" and click the option you find.

If you have a Windows PC, open your EA App game library, click Sims 3, then DLC, and "Sims 3 Currency," i.e. SimPoints, should be the first option.
