Can i still have my CCS and Mods after removing them?

The day before the patch I was working on building a new town and spent hours on it. Everything was fine and running smoothly. After I logged on to my computer and sims4 started updating and I didn't know it was. So I waited and I opened the game after it was done. I tried to go and continue building my town till a notice I could place anything down at all. I was very confused and started getting really upset. I did my research and noticed that everyone was having this problem too. So I followed what most people did. Removed ALL the mods and CCs I have. I was really upset that i had to do that because i use most of those mods and CCs for my town. Will Sims not let me have CCS or mods anymore??

Mods and CC needs updating as the game is updated so look for updates where you got it.
