It's sfc /scannow

Sims 4 not opening after recent November update

my game isn't opening after the new update. Even after removing all mods and cc's, it's not opening. I tried repairing it on origin, didn't work. Please help1

@TayloQT  What did sfc say when the scan finished?

 

Your newest dxdiag lists some errors from a component of Avast, so it's still running or has been very recently.  Please make sure it's completely disabled, not just closed out but not running at all.

@crinrictDoes the new update only work with computers that don’t have antivirus because I got it to work when I took the antivirus software off my computer but that’s not really a solution for me since I want to keep my computer safe

 

Just wanted to let you know what I have found to make it work so far but it’s not really a solution sorry @brittk45

To be sure: you get no error message ?

Could you try the suggestions in the first post

@irelandpure Anti Virus Software is getting more and more aggressive these days and the newest update seems to flag a lot of them. You just have to tell your antivirus that it's safe and you should be good to go. Turning it off is just a temp solution to find out if it's the cause.

If you have determined that it is, you need to find out how to add exceptions.

What are you using ?
