Bugs after Sims 4 latest patch

★★ Novice

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.63.136.1010
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except Eco Lifestyle and Spooky stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. When going from build mode to live mode, game "crashes". 2. Clicking on relationship panel or inviting sims somewhere. 3. Clicking the "sort by" search bar. 4. When trying to purchase things from the computer. 5. Opening gallery. 6. Putting low spacebuns for girls or one of the hairstyles for boys on toddlers.
What happens when the bug occurs? 1. No live mode things show up (like sims panel). One can not control sims, save or even quit the game. Sims move around as they wish. 2. Relationship categories look odd colors and the signs are wrong. Relationships also are incorrect. Sims they once knew are suddenly complete strangers. 3. The "sort by" search bar only has 3 dots and when clicking, nothing pops up (happens in CAS, build mode and in sims inventory) One can not sort anything (file added). 4. The pop up screen turns up blank and cannot be closed. Sometimes it shifts away from the centre of the screen. 5. Gallery opens blank with 3 or 4 categories that all state "WWWWWWWW". 6. Bald spots appear in gameplay when zoomed out enough.
What do you expect to see? 1. Game not to "freeze" up like that. 2. Relationships should not disappear and the relationship categories signs should be correct. 3. "Sort by" search bar function as it should. 4. Pop up screen showing products, could be closed and being centered on screen. 5. Gallery showing things correctly, categories should state what they really are. 6. Toddlers should not have bald spots.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Issues appeared after latest patch.

My game is up to date, I've tried repairing it many times.

HI @Kirtikoryi

Most of these are related to the UI Cheat extension mod. Since you said you remove all mods, try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

  • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
  • Tray Folder
  • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
  • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
  • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
  • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

Good Luck
