Background Glitch

When I started up Sims 4 this morning, I noticed a glitch in the background, which appears to be of a flight of stairs. Every 5 seconds or less, it comes up.

I have already reset my laptop several times in order to fix this problem, but it doesn't seem to make it any better, if aything; it's making it worse. Please could you give me some advice as on what to do about this.

What do mean by "reset my laptop". Reboot it?

If you have any mods, try to remove them and see if the game works better.
For example, move the mods folder from C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to your Desktop and start the game.

After that, open your Origin client and go to My Game Library, right-click The Sims 4 and choose Repair. Do this even if you do not have mods.
