@Skriegs335 Yes this is annoying, but I found a way around it that worked for me I just chose a big dog I liked from the gallery and put it in my game the turned it into a puppy I was allowed to add features then when I wanted to age it up I quickly chose the adult and went to another sim just after selecting the adult button hopefully this works for you!
