This might be an old driver for your graphics card.
Could you post a DxDiag?
Please follow this how-to on how to gather your DxDiag.
You can post the DxDiag by attaching it to your next reply.
Don't paste it directly into your answer, because that won't fit.

Did this happen while creating big dogs? Many people have the problem only when creating big dogs, so what you can do then is to avoid them in CAS, and only play with small gods or cats, or adopt big dogs if you want them. If your computer does not meet minimum requirements there is not much else to do. Updating graphics drivers is always a good thing to do though, even if you still cannot create big dogs.
Merry Christmas
Edit: Oups sorry 57 seconds too late, but like @Phantomlover1717 said, if you're lucky you might be able to fix it with a driver

Depending on which card you have you usually use their program or go to their website to update.
Sometimes the drivers come in a program made by the company that made the device you're playing on.
That's why a DxDiag might come in handy for us.
(Off topic: I'm lolling over the typo of @CMeki, small gods or cats, aren't those the same thing XD)

Ah you have an HP, you can use their software of website to search for new drivers:

Sadly your computer isn't really strong enough to play big games like The Sims 4 on... I would suggest putting all the graphics settings to low, and turning laptop mode on.
I can't guarantee it will work, but you can give it a try.

Sorry to ask, but how do i know which drive to download?

It should suggest drivers to you, but it's an Intel Graphics card.
