All of my households are gone after update

Some of them are from as far back as 2014.

I updated my game yesterday and didn't notice until today but all my previous households are gone. The only household that I have is the one I made yesterday after updating. 

This is all that's in my "saves" folder.

It looks like your old folder "saves" has been removed or moved to another location. Do you use OneDrive?

@kreatora I have One Drive on my computer but I don't really know what is it/how it works.

This problem occurred after the update for one person on the Polish EA Help, although it was previously reported. The computer transfers the Sims4 saves to OneDrive. It is very difficult to recover them later.

@kreatora But the files aren't in One Drive either? Like, they're not anywhere. Not in my original EA folder or in the One Drive folder.

This file are there but I think it is in "hidden" or archive. I don't know how to open it. Personally I don't use OneDrive. If you use it, it's better to take copies of saves folder before each patch and keep it on your computer or pen drive, because the situation may be repeated and the option to "disable cloud storage" in Origin does not work in this case

Maybe try contacting Microsoft for help to find the items. Also you can check in your whole device with multiple other programmes.

@kreatora It just says it's saving to One Drive, which I already knew. I even logged into my One Drive account in my web browser and all my saves are from 2016.
