I just redownloaded sims 3 (After about 3 years)

everything went well downloading wise but now it won't open after the launcher

it shows up with a message saying theres a problem connecting to the server and to try again later.

This has been going on for about two days.

I've tried turning my wifi off but it then says it can't verify the server and stuff.

I really want to play my sims.

also on origin I can't find where my expansion packs are (I paid for like three and don't remember which ones they are, I have a bunch of discs if that helps, but not my pets one. all were originally put onto origin too)

please help

@LoLs_Berry  The server connection error is a known issue in mac OS, and has been for about a month.  Please see this post for the solution:

https://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/Sims-3-quot-There-is-a-problem-connecting-to-the-server-quot/...

To find your packs, open Origin, select the Sims 3 in your game library, then click on the More dropdown tab (at the bottom of the screen) and select Expansion Packs (or Stuff Packs).  Each category will give you a list of every pack; the ones in your account should be available to download.

There are a few hurdles to installing certain packs (Ambitions, Late Night, Fast Lane, and Outdoor Living) in mac OS.  Please see steps 4 and 5 of Bluebellflora's guide to installing TS3 here:

https://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-3-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/698...

Finally, be sure to patch the game to 1.67 (use the digital download version), as the Origin download will not be fully patched, and the launcher doesn't always do a thorough job.

P.S.  I moved your question about Spore to the Spore section of the forum, where you'll get better help.  You can find that section here:

@LoLs_Berry  Please make sure you're using the same account to login as you did to register your discs (and download your content two days ago).  If that doesn't help, you can try running the Origin reset tool for macs:

https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/

P.S.  Once you see this reply, I'm going to move this post to the dedicated Sims/mac forum,, where we generally like to keep mac OS-related issues for both TS3 and TS4.
