There are two significant Origin issues affecting Mac users at the moment, the Helper Tool loop - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Mac-Permission-to-install-Helper-Tool-error-2018/m-p/6948... and the game library/install issue affecting Yosemite users - https://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/Empty-Game-Library-Server-Error/m-p/6938454#M13245
If you’re running Yosemite please upgrade to a later version of macOS, it should fix the issue

@shooshoo135 Is your computer a pc or mac? Are you using any third party antivirus or ad blocker software? Do you have Origin working?

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled origin and what does it say in your download manager? @shooshoo135
