sims 4 freezing

hi,

my sims game has begun freezing— but not crashing— since i downloaded three new packs: dine out, city living, and vampires.

i am on a macbook, and the game works for a few minutes before i just get the multicolored circle and have to force quit the game.

i’ve updated the game, repaired it through origin, cleared all my files, deleted and redownloaded CC, and tried another wifi network. none of these worked!

the game never crashes, just freezes. it didn’t do this before i downloaded those packs. what can i do?

Does it freeze in one particular save, all saves or in a new save?

What are you doing in-game when it freezes? In Build/Buy, CAS, Live mode?
