sims 4 for mac: "only available for windows"

hi,

i bought the sims 4 on mac in april time when it was on sale, and it had been working great for some months. just logged on now after a few weeks of not playing and i've found that i am not able to play anymore, as it says it is only available for windows?? what do i do?
