sims 4 corrupted file - game won't open !!

i downloaded new cc this morning, but my game wont start up bc there's a corrupted file. i cant find it to delete it. i repaired the game on origin, moved my mods in batches onto my desktop until my mods folder was empty, but it still won't start up. this message pops up every time: 

Unable to start:

Cannot start because the below file appears to be corrupted. If this file is a Mod please remove it and try again.  If not, please repair or reinstall the game via Origin.

Did you also trash the localthumbcache.package file after moving out all Mods?

Yes. Every time you move Mods out of the Mods folder, or move the Mods folder, you MUST also trash the localthumbcache file.

You start up the game and see if it works without Mods now you’ve trashed the cache file.

Ok. Have you moved your Sims 4 folder to an external drive by using a symlink?

If not, move the whole Sims 4 folder to the desktop and then try to launch the game - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting...

@Bluebellflora it opened !! so i can move my mods and my saves back into the new folder right?

I would start with your saves, one at a time, testing after adding each one to see if the game launches. Don't save when you quit. If they load ok then you can add your mods back in using the 50/50 method
