please help!!! sims wont load gameplay!!

Ive had this issue for 6 months now.

When i select a house hold to play on the map, 

the loading screen comes up and will load for hours on end with no outcome.

I have tried multiple different remedies but none have worked.

I adore the sims and this is very very disapointing for me.

I had had the game for a year now and hadn't  seen this issue till then.

I run this on my macbook air.
Please help!!!

Please go into Documents > Electronic Arts and move your Sims 4 folder to the desktop. Try launching your game, it will be like new again but see if you can create a household, move them into a house and play for a bit.
