I tried uninstalling and re installing my base game. I uninstalled all EP's first. I downloaded the version of the base game from origin. My disc would not work and I could not copy to fix the damagebecause it contains windows files. I have not installed any EP but I am having the same problems. My sims look like crystals off and on. El Capitan is awful. It has eaten up a ton of my laptops memory. Apple is a joke and now they have messed with my gaming. I can not even install my EP's until I figure out how to fix the problem. This sucks.

What do you mean "I could not copy to fix the damagebecause it contains windows files"? Are you trying to open the file on the disc and manually copy them? That's not how you install files. The disc has both Windows and OS X installation files on it.
Using the digital version will help with any disc errors you are getting. Not sure what your graphics issues are. It would help if you posted what Mac you have.
Have you told Apple that they have "messed up with your gaming?" I'm sure they'd appreciate the feedback.

I'm having issues with my sims games with the El Capitan upgrade. I had the game uninstalled for months. Yesterday I installed everything again and it's giving me an error. Three of the games including the base game are all on disc. The rest of them are digital. I've included my specs to my 2011 computer.

Try these things in order, testing to see if the game works after each one (for help on following any of the steps please read the stickied Mac help thread on this forum), if it doesn't work after trying them then uninstalling and reinstalling the whole game should work. It does work in El Capitan but some users are having to reinstall unfortunately.

That's options 1 and 2 out of the way, what about 3 and 4?

I've uninstalled, downloaded from Origin this time, tried it that way. Then tried adding the path 1.67 update, still getting the "Unknown Error Occurred" from the game

When you uninstalled did you get rid of all the files in the hidden folders?

You're using an app cleaner? They can cause more problems by getting rid of files they shouldn't and destabilising the system, resulting in having to reinstall the operating system and apps.
Did you use it to get rid of the TS3 files when you uninstalled?
