my game is trying to verify the files but it wont load

see the screenshot for what it has been stuck on for days now! I've restarted my computer multiple times and shut down both the game and origin but it still won't start.

Can you launch the game from your Applications folder by double clicking on it?

the game won't open fullstop, because its telling me that it needs to verify the game files in origin to open it but the thing has not moved.... even if i cancel the verifying part it just stops.
