Any idea as to when we are able to play on Catalina?

if anyone is having issues with Mojave I can tell you that I had Mojave for a long time after it came out and at some point months later the sims 4 stopped working and would collapse as soon as I pressed open. so I got my Mac back to high Sierra via Best Buy and the game has worked ever since. but I'm looking to switch back to Mojave if theres better feedback lately on its compatibility. I don't understand why ea does so little for Mac users or that they don't test these things themselves.

@mariacortes24 look into switching to high Sierra. if you can do it yourself but if not look into a place that specializes in Macs like Best Buy.

@KanyeWoost

Plenty of us are playing fine in Mojave. What are your Mac specs?

64 bit Authentication UI

★★★ Newbie

I know an update it going out to for Metal Mac software, but when? I'm on Catalina and the game is unplayable. Has been now for over a month. Can you please release a patch for us. There's hundreds of people having this issue.

ActivationUI In the sims 4 is 32 bit still  check it out by looking at by right clicking show contents and go frameworks you will see

ActivationUI with circle with line thought the middle in Catalina witch means that part of sims 4 is 32 bit still

Re: 64 bit Authentication UI

@mako8349

The Metal update is unrelated to the game being unplayable on Catalina. The ActivationUI file executed through Origin during the launch process is 32-bit, the only file to be 32-bit as the game has always been 64-bit for macOS. Catalina is still in beta and EA have not stated whether the game will yet launch even when it is officially released soon. You can install Mojave on an external or partition your drive and run it as a current option.

★★ Guide

Is it safe to update to Mojave/Catalina when using a NVIDIA card? I heard Apple stopped releasing drivers for them, which basically means they're unsupported now. Confused
