download issues

bought the Seasons expansion pack for Sims 4, but it never gave me the option to download it. I figured it was because my base game wasn't updated so I went to do that, but every time I tried it said "Unable to download game." I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling origin, I went to turn on safe-mode downloading, I even went as far as to uninstall Sims 4. Now I am unable o even download Sims 4 back onto my laptop (a Mac). This is all very frustrating because I know I am connected to the internet, I know I have enough space on my laptop for the downloads, but it still isn't going through.

Are you running Yosemite? There is currently an issue with Origin on Macs running Yosemite. EA are aware and working on a fix. In the meantime, if you can, please upgrade to a later version of macOS.
