corrupted file

i have a corrupted file that's preventing me from playing, i have removed it from my mods folder, repaired the game, uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing has worked, i even tried restarting my laptop (im on Mac btw). Does anyone know anything else i can do?

Where is your Sims 4 folder stored?

Have you moved the whole Mods folder out of the TS4 folder and trashed the localthumbcache.package file? You should always do that after removing stuff from the Mods folder.
