build&buy mode delayed scroll

[ Edited ]

I've just recently bought a new laptop (Macbook pro 2021) and loaded up the sims it played amazingly until I went into build and buy. There's a significant delay on the scroll specifically when looking through the catalogue. It's fine on everything else, no lag what so ever in and outside of the sims. I've looked to see if anyone else had this issue however I am yet to find it. Would be grateful for any suggestions. Also the mouse I'm using is a hp wireless mouse which is about 6 years old although it works fine on everything else. Thanks. Standard smile

@annatx22

Does it happen when you use the trackpad?

the exact same thing, again just in the catalogue, scrolling to zoom in and out on the lot is fine.

Thanks. And is it constantly a delay scroll or is it only when you first start scrolling and then it runs normally?

@Bluebellflora

it doesn't go back to normal at all. Have to scroll a few times to see any movement.

Sounds really annoying. What else do you have open on your Mac? Have you tried quitting all open apps, including ones running in the background like Spotify and Google Drive and seeing if that makes a difference?

it's very annoying, especially as i'm loving how smooth the game runs compared to what i use play on ! I didn't have any apps like that on the at the time I first came to notice the issue, but I've just tested with nothing running in the background and its the exact same.

might see if some of my mods effect it. - just tried removing them (mc command centre and a cas skin) but the same results prevailed.

Want to send me your save so I can test on my Mac? See if it's your save related might help.

Can you please re upload your save and do not rename it. Renaming it has rendered it unusable. It must have the filename the game assigned when it was created.
