all my households are gone after i didnt play for a month and it updated

when i went to go play sims 4 after not playing for a month, it updated and all my households werent available on the main screen ingame. also i checked my save file and there is no Slot_00000001.save file please help. i checked my library and there is nothing but the new household i made because i didnt know what to do. also my game freezes and doesnt unfreeze after playing for a minute or if i click on most things what do i do?
