Ya same. It keeps loading and loading. I even disabled mods and still nothing.

I had this problem too, but running a "Repair Game" fixed it.

I downloaded the patch (playing on Mac) and now my game won't even start I'm so sad.

Thank you for this advice! This worked for me and hopefully does for others!

Hello simmers, so I tried to launch my game today after today's update, which was supposed to fix the crashing issue, and the game launched, took me to the main menu where you can see the list of expansion packs etc, but when I pressed play to access my save, the game got stuck on the plumbob loading screen. It did not freeze, I could still minimise the game and do other stuff on my computer. The first time I left it on for about 30 mins hoping it would load, then tried again - same thing. Then I removed all my mods and custom content from the game and still, the same thing happened. I also couldn't shut my computer down properly, as it told me to exit Sims 4 first. So I had to force shut down every time. Also, I tried to access live chat with EA games, but that didn't seem to work either. Then, when I tried again, it wouldn't even give me the live chat option anymore at all, instead they gave me their number to call and an email address. I was hoping that maybe someone here had a similar issue and would know how to fix it before I try calling them tomorrow. I really hope this can be fixed, I had so many builds in progress and it would be a shame to lose them all! ((

In the Origin app, right-click on the gear icon next to the Play button and select "Repair".
