Hey. So move objects works perfectly fine on mac, aside from the function where you can move objects off the grid. To use this function you're supposed to press alt, but being a mac user, I don't have an alt key. Is there any alternative? Or anyway to be able to move my objects off the grid?
And by the way, I already tried looking into system preferences and changing the keyboard shortcuts. There was nothing there related to sims shortcuts.

Instead of doing both keys at the same time try the one on the left side of the keyboard and start pushing down on the key
when youve already selected the item you want to rotate if that makes sense

Hi! I have a mac myself and I’m building right now. I just held down the option key and moved the ‘up’ arrow, then I kept holding down the option key, and that let me free move the items. Hope this helps!

I have a MacBook Air and I used 0 and 9 to move the object I needed to place up or down. I just pressed every key until eventually something happened lol

You have to hold the Alt/Options button whilst placing object. Hope that helps
