Unknown Error Occured issue in the Sims 3

I just bought a new Macbook. I did download The Sims 3 and all the packs via Origin and there was no problem while downloading them. When I tried to launch the game there was a message page which says Unknown Error Occured, It has been 10 days and it stiil remains the same. I did re-install origin and the base game but it still gives the same error. Please help me, I have all the packs of the Sims 3 and I cannot play.

Please read this thread on the Unknown Error issue if you have add-on packs installed as your problem is well documented.
