I have tried doing what you did by dragging my EA file to the desktop, it didn't create another folder. It seemed like it just copied the folder to the desktop. Am I doing something wrong?

@peacelia

Go into your Origin games library, your game will be there. Makes sure you have no filters selected and that you are logged in using the same account you purchased the game through.

To solve "the sims 4 is already running" with the error code [ed35e0ea:29f00e76:00000000:18a1dd51] on mac:

1 - Go to system preferences.

2 - Go to security and privacy.

3 - Click files and folders.

4 - Make sure the documents folder box is ticked under the sims.

This should work if you've accidentally denied access to something when loading the game like I did.

Hope this helps some people!

@mickeym2001

Are you running Catalina? You need to allow the game to access your Documents folder. You can do this in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy
