Hi,
I paid for, downloaded and installed The Sims 4 tonight and once the game was downloaded and origin was operational I clicked "Play", as one does and was greeted by "Unable to connect to EA servers to verify on this account on this computer". I have reinstalled origin , repaired the game by right clicking , double checked that my connection is a stable download and upload speed and I'm still getting this message. Any thing I can do to fix this problem??
Cheers,
Mike

My apologies the message says "unable to activate"

It is possible that the activation server is down. This has happened a couple times recently.

Try the following - http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612...
If that doesn't work uninstall the game and re-download and reinstall it. This happened to me once and that was the only thing that fixed it.

Tired both of your solutions and unfortunately neither worked, was really hoping redownloading the game and re installing it would work but I got the same message, Even tried using a friend of mines Origin account who also has Sims 4 and I still got the same message :/ Just gonna accept it ain't gonna work

Sounds like it may be a connection issue on your end. Try flushing the DNS - http://help.ea.com/en/article/connection-troubleshooting-advanced-mac/
And disabling any antivirus or 3rd party firewall you have installed. If you have the built in firewall turned on check it's allowing Origin connections:
